These two international hubs are serviced by most of the major airlines in the world, and both provide access to the South Shore and South Bend Railroad via Chicago Transit Authority "L" trains. The Chicago Department of Aviation portal provides traveler information for both airports. South Bend Regional Airport, less than an hour from Michigan City, sees about 50 arrivals and departures a day from several US cities and also provides direct service to Michigan City via the South Shore and South Bend Railroad.
